Keynote & Invited Speakers

Dr Natalie McEvoy is a Lecturer in Critical Care Nursing at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and Chairperson of the Irish Association of Critical Care Nurses. As a Fulbright Scholar (2023–2024), she conducted research at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania to develop outcome measures for nursing and unit dashboards in acute and critical care.

She also leads the EU-funded COST Action SAFE ICU, focused on patient safety outcomes in European ICUs. Dr McEvoy is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nurses and the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery at RCSI.

Dr Siobhán O'Connor is a Senior Lecturer at King’s College London and an Adjunct Associate Professor role at Western University, Canada. She is also a Liaison to the United Nations for Sigma Nursing. Dr O’Connor is a leader in digital health with a research portfolio of >£6.5 million and a multidisciplinary
background in nursing and information systems. She has nearly 20 years combined experience in industry, clinical practice, and higher education and served as an external advisor to the World Health Organization on the WHO's State of the World's Nursing report 2025, providing recommendations on digital nursing education and practice.

Helen has worked in Infection Prevention & Control for over 20 years in a variety of settings in the UK and overseas. She leads the Infection Control team at Great Ormond Street Hospital and has been based there since 2014. Helen holds a masters in Infection Management from Imperial College and is a trained educator. Her research interests include vascular access, paediatric infection control and sustainability.

Since September 2003, Alberto has held the position of Head Nurse for the General Adult and Pediatric ICU at Fondazione IRCCS San Gerardo dei Tintori in Monza, Italy. He also coordinates the postgraduate Critical Care Nursing course at the University of Milano-Bicocca in Milan, Italy. For nearly two decades, Alberto has been an adjunct professor, imparting his expertise to students and international professionals to enhance patient safety and best practices. He is a member of the scientific board of the ANIARTI. Since 2025, Alberto has been one of the Associate Editors of the Intensive and Critical Care Nursing Journal.

Jana has 35 years of clinical practice in emergency medicine. She contributed to establishing Emergency Medicine in CR. She has been president of the Czech Society of Emergency and Disaster Medicine for 12 years. Now she is the chair of Society for Bioethics.
Her research activities aim at psychological stress and burnout of health care professionals, mental health outcomes of COVID-19 pandemics, sepsis, ethics
and other topics.
She had finished Master studies (Mgr.) in Applied ethics at the Charles University in Prague 2024 and teaches bioethics at 3rd Medical Faculty of the Charles University
